England cricket board officials today announced a short tour to Pakistan in October 2021. Before this Pakistan cricket board invite them to play the t20 series earlier in January 2021. But due to their busy schedule, ECB suggests playing in October 2021. Now ECB announced on their official Twitter account about this upcoming visit.

The visit will be going to be historic as England will play its first international cricket match after 16 years. The tour consists of two t20’s that will be played in Karachi national stadium scheduled on 14 and 15 October 2021. England cricket team will arrive in Pakistan on 12 October & after completing the series both teams will depart towards India. Because there will be ICC Men’s T20 World Cup ahead at the end of the tour.
The last time the England cricket team visited Pakistan in 2005. On that visit, they played three Tests and five One-Day Internationals. After that, both teams also played series in 2012 then 2015 in the United Arab Emirates.
ECB Chief executive officer Tom Harrison expresses his feelings about the tour. He said that this is delightful to announce that the England men team will play T20 in Pakistan in October 2021. This will be the first run-through since 2005 & this is really enjoyable for both nations.
He added that we have a very strong relationship with the Pakistan cricket board and we are hoping to ensure the return of international cricket to Pakistan. Good news for the fans around the world who loved to see them in the ground. We are satisfied with the security plans of the Pakistan cricket board. And moreover also working on that as safety is always our first priority.
This two-match series will help the England team to prepare for the upcoming ICC men t20 world cup scheduled just after this series. In response to this, the PCB chairman said that “we are delighted to having this tour as this will be the first tour of England after 16 years”. This will create an opportunity for test match tours in the next 2 years.
This visit to Pakistan will give further support to our enthusiastic fans locally and globally. The country has stood by quietly for cricket to return economically to Pakistan and the 2021 visits by South Africa, New Zealand, and England will just guarantee worldwide cricket is played uninterruptedly.
