India Approves AstraZeneca Corona Vaccine

India is also likely to be approved the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine for emergency use. The world’s second-most-affected country after the United States. India has now approved the emergency use of the Corona vaccine from Oxford University and AstraZeneca.

According to the International News Agency. India has approved Oxford University and AstraZeneca vaccines for the use of the corona vaccine. This happens in case of emergency use across the country on New Year’s Eve.

In this regard, a team of experts from the Indian government reviewed Pfizer, Moderna, Sinopharm, and Corona vaccines from Oxford University. And the lot was drawn for the Oxford University vaccine but has now been sealed by the Drug Controller General of India. All that remains to be done will be a formality.

The pharmaceutical company also reiterated that the vaccine would be launched only if it was completely safe. Rather than rushing, complete and satisfactory research will be ensured. And the results of the trial will be communicated to the whole world.

It should be noted that during the ongoing trial in the UK, a volunteer was diagnosed with a mysterious disease which is difficult to explain at the moment, after which the trial of the vaccine entering the last phase of the trial was stopped.

India is likewise considering crisis use approval applications for immunizations made by Pfizer Inc with Germany’s BioNTech, and by India’s Bharat Biotech.

“Both AstraZeneca and Bharat Biotech will get approval today,” one of the sources told Reuters earlier on Friday.

Indian Council of Medical Research expressed about the vaccine. Said that they are quite hopeful about the vaccine developed by the Governmental Institute. A representative from CDSCO declined to comment further.

After UK & Argentina India now become the 3rd country that approves the corona vaccine developed by Oxford University. Furthermore, 50 million doses will be expected to approve locally by the Indian Government.

Oxford University and AstraZeneca developed jointly the corona vaccine. The trial result was found to be 70.4% effective, while the efficacy of Pfizer and Biotech N’s corona vaccine was 95%.
