Scholarship season for education has started in China. Should our good students go to China to study or not? This question should not be asked now. Yet I see that many people are still in this confusion.
A few days ago a friend wrote that he had got an exellent scholarship in China, but his teacher forbade him to go there. I am very sorry to read this. Now he was helpless and worried that he had made a mistake.
The purpose of this article is not to discredit any country at all, but I have tried to find reasons that might persuade such a mind to come to China? Scholarships are wonderful in any country in the world.
I have been studying in China for almost 4 years now. I also did my Masters from China, and my research publications were outstanding in my Masters. So everyone’s advice for a Ph.D. was to go somewhere else.
My friends have been saying since day one why you have come to China. Went to America or Europe. Interestingly, then I came from Europe and now we have a joint project with the University of Bristol, UK, living there.
Scope of Education
The trend here is that a good student should either become a doctor or an engineer, no one else pays attention. A similar trend is that if you go to study in Europe or America. Don’t know what kind of education is in China? Is it standard or not? Those who talk, but some good students get out of the way.
Some are surrounded by frustrations. A good friend of mine was coming to China, he would have entered a good institution with 100% certainty, but I don’t know who brainwashed him. When he started looking for a position outside China, he also left the Chinese position. A few days ago, he contacted me and said, “Get admission anywhere in China, in any way, in any institution, but just get it done!” But what would you regret now when the birds ate the field?

Over the past decade, China has worked with regular planning in this direction and see for yourself the results: The most credible name in the ranking of universities internationally is the QS Ranking System. According to the QS ranking in 2016, 4 Chinese universities were among the 100 best universities in the world.
According to the recent QS ranking of 2021, 7 Chinese universities are among the 100 best universities in the world. Adding Hong Kong, which is a Chinese-administered territory, adds up to 12.
